Is it quirky, unusual, or surprising? What makes an image funny?

Teachers and students can interrogate the subject of humour across curriculum areas of Drama and Visual Arts

• through dramatic action, photographic art, and electronic imaging
• to experiment, be imaginative, and original.

• Students enrolled in Queensland secondary schools (Years 8 to 12) only.
• Students can enter as individual or as part of a group under one name.
• Students/groups are able to submit multiple entries. Students should nominate their school when submitting entries.

• There are no rules about subject matter but it must be funny.
• Subjects may include a person/people, place or an event.
• Photographs must be in JPEG format with a maximum file size of 1mb
• Images that have been digitally edited with software are acceptable.
• Colour and B/W images are also accepted.

All submissions (except those considered to be offensive) will be uploaded onto the QPAC website and may also be screened as part of QPAC’s In Stitches – Laughter Stimulus Package.

• The winning student/group and their nominated school will each win prizes to the value of $500 AUD.
• This could be the beginning of a career as a photographer or comedian or it might just make you laugh!

Entries close at midnight Tuesday 23 June 2009.
