For Teachers and Students
Is it quirky, unusual, or surprising? What makes an image funny?
Teachers and students can interrogate the subject of humour across curriculum areas of Drama and Visual Arts
- through dramatic action, photographic art, and electronic imaging
- to experiment, be imaginative, and original.
Who can enter?
- Students enrolled in Queensland secondary schools (Years 8 to 12) only.
- Students can enter as individual or as part of a group under one name.
- Students/groups are able to submit multiple entries. Students should nominate their school when submitting entries.
What to submit?
- There are no rules about subject matter but it must be funny.
- Subjects may include a person/people, place or an event.
- Photographs must be in JPEG format with a maximum file size of 1mb
- Images that have been digitally edited with software are acceptable.
- Colour and B/W images are also accepted.
Will the photos be exhibited?
All submissions (except those considered to be offensive) will be uploaded onto the QPAC website and may also be screened as part of QPAC’s In Stitches – Laughter Stimulus Package.
Why is RE-FRAMED a good thing to do?
- The winning student/group and their nominated school will each win prizes to the value of $500 AUD.
- This could be the beginning of a career as a photographer or comedian or it might just make you laugh!
When do I need to submit my entry/entries?
Entries close at midnight Tuesday 23 June 2009.
